Darwin Australia

Where can I go for a relaxing holiday in Northern Territory?

I'm going to Northern Territory and want to spend most of my holiday just relaxing and enjoying the good food & wine. Possibly do some walking & outdoor activities but nothing too streneous.

  1. Sounds like you'd better chose between Alice Springs or Darwin. There are plenty of places to chill out and relax in NT; but if food and wine are a must, then you'll need to stick to the larger cities/towns.
  2. Darwin for Sure. If you haven't been to Darwin it is a very relaxing place With Lovely walks so so interesting.I love Darwin and have spent a lot of time there. It is one of my top favourite places in Australia
  3. If money is not a problem consider Seven Spirit Bay resort on the coburg peninsula, or the Dugong Beach Resort - Groote Eyelandt, Sails in the Desert Resort at Uluru, otherwise Darwin itself and check out the Mindil Sunset Markets (for lots of foods from different cultures).
  4. I live in Darwin and if you like food and wine stay in Darwin City. Cullen Bay is also great for food and there are the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets which have an international array of foods and market stalls to choose from. Litchfield National park is great for a day trip - a tour bus is not very strenous otherwise you can drive there yourself and just get out of the car at the attractions as there are lots of little stops on the way.
  5. Try Katherine they have very good hot springs there! http://www.time2travel.com/au/nt/katherine/
  6. Darwin for sure, so relaxing, even the City people. you dont have to go far to see things either, but the whole area is just clean and relaxing. There are a million other places, but if you want relax, then Darwin is it.
  7. Go to Darwin, but if you want to go for walks then go to Kakadu National Park-It's wonderful
